Our FROSTED Acrylic ganache guides help you achieve sharp top edges and straight sides on your cake.
The benefit of the frosted finish, is that it stops the glad wrap sticking to the boards. This means you are able to remove the step of adding baking paper/parchment paper between the board and the glad wrap.
1. Tightly cover your guides in glad wrap before using, it makes the guides easy to remove when finished. Secure the glad wrap with sticky tape.
2. Once iced, pop the whole cake in the fridge to set before trying to remove the guides. This way the icing will be set and wont pull away with the glad wrap when the guides are removed.
3. Use a standard cake board at the bottom of your cake as well when icing( or use another acrylic guide) so that your sides are perfectly straight. You simply fill out your icing to the edges of the guides and scrape back the excess using a ganache scraper.

They are made with 3mm frosted acrylic. Because we use frosted acrylic the glad wrap does not get stuck to the acrylic guide.
