Tylose Powder

Tylose powder(CMC) is a hardening agent similar to clear gel and is used when modelling sugar figurines, flowers and decorations from fondant. Unlike the modelling paste, fondant will not set hard and hold its shape without adding a hardening agent like Tylose.

Tylose powder can also be used as a flower glue when mixed with water and stirred over hot water until smooth. Simply mix 1 tsp with 1/4 cup of water.
